Crossroads Career Network Ministry at Mount Paran Church is a Christ-centered, job networking ministry focused toward those who are unemployed, mis-employed, considering a change or seeking God’s calling in their careers. Biblically based, our Crossroads program seeks to help you achieve a successful crossroad in your career.
The Crossroads Career Network Ministry at Mount Paran is eager to be of service to you.
The Crossroads team at Mount Paran offers a 2-hour program intended to touch on some of the many challenges of the career search. The evening meeting offers a time of devotion and prayer, keynote speakers presenting a broad variety of career-related topics, pointers on using the Internet to find hidden jobs, and a time for networking with the volunteers and attendees. No meeting in July.
This Biblically-based seven-week course is designed to help guide you through the crossroads in your career. This results-oriented course is focused toward those who are exploring job changes and seeking God's calling in their career choice. The course includes spiritually-based practical tools to manage emotional and relationship issues, resumes, interviews, negotiations and other job-seeking topics. 7-weeks - Winter, Spring, and Fall
Our Crossroads program also offers additional assistance to the career explorers that participate in our program:
- Help on updating resumes - Resume resource experts will be available to help you update your resume before the monthly meetings (be there at 6:30 pm with your resume) and it is included as a major topic of the 7-week course.
- Crossroads Career Network resources - Job seekers and career changers can access FREE career tools, job postings and information at crossroadscareer.org. Use Mount Paran's membership key "disciple" to register at this site.
- Job Postings - Employers and recruiters may list job openings for a minimal fee at the crossroadscareer.org website. Current job openings are announced at the monthly meetings and should be forwarded to crossroads@mountparan.com.
We invite Mount Paran members or regular attendees with a passion for helping the unemployed/mis-employed to serve in this ministry. We are seeking individuals with one or more of the following traits:
- Those with specialized skills (recruiters, human resource professionals, training)
- Anyone who has personally walked through a career crossroad
- Individuals who are spiritually gifted in hospitality, encouragement and teaching
- Someone who just loves the Lord and cares for people!
